The Final Event

After several months of research, presentations and workshops, Beyond Destruction, an AHRC funded First World War project, is coming to an end.

With the aim of sharing the Gertrude Bell Archive, information, research and creative responses within and around the archive, there will be a special event held on Friday 8th December, 1 -5pm at the Old Low Lights Heritage Centre, Fish Quay, North Shields.

This informal event is open to the public, as well as invited guests from the Syriac community within the North East. There will be exclusive images from the archives exhibited, along with presentations about the different aspects of the project from those involved.

The formal presentations will take place between 3-4pm. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day to enjoy a hidden part of North East history.

We look forward to welcoming you to an interesting and informative afternoon.

Refreshments will be served.
